May 28th is the official German Diversity Day and stands for showing our voice for diversity. As a proud signatory of the Diversity Charter (Charta der Vielfalt), we at ELA stand for tolerance and respect and want to set an example against hatred and hate speech. Especially in times of growing anti-democratic and racist tendencies, our position against discrimination and for an inclusive society is more important than ever.
1,400 people from 43 nations work together in our family-owned company and we see this existing diversity as a great asset. In order to actively promote this diversity, we have already implemented various measures and offers. Our contact persons and representatives for accessibility and inclusion help to create a working environment in which all employees feel comfortable and valued. We are aware that dealing with and promoting diversity requires many other measures and an ongoing process that we are constantly working on. These steps are essential in order to create a working environment in which diversity is lived and valued.
